White House calls Conway promo of Ivanka’s line ‘inadvertent’

Conway’s remarks, made from the White House briefing room, came a day after Trump himself took to Twitter to slam the Nordstrom for removing his daughter’s clothing line from the department store chain. Even the text of the stories match up: The liberal version said “Kellyanne Conway has been a bad communications director for Donald Trump”, said the other said “Kellyanne Conway has been the go-to communications director for Donald Trump”.

The conflict started in early February after Nordstrom announced they would no longer carry the Ivanka Trump collection due to poor sales.

The photo, taken Monday by press photographers, shows Conway kneeling on the couch as she snaps a cellphone picture of President Donald Trump meeting with the heads of historically black colleges and universities.
