White Nationalist Leaders Are Robocalling Iowa Voters to Support Donald Trump
One of America’s most prominent white supremacists is making robocalls in Iowa imploring voters to support Donald Trump.
In addition to Taylor’s call to (white) arms, two other voices appear on the robocalls: Reverend Donald Tan (host of the “Christian” talk show “For God and Country”) and American Freedom Party chairman William Johnson. A press release announcing the robocall effort refers to Trump as the “Great White Hope” and says Tan made a decision to team up with white nationalists to support Trump because he had been “called of God to make America great again”. The ad, recorded by self-described white nationalists, calls on Iowans to support Donald Trump because of his extreme and bigoted stance on immigration.
“First Corinthians states: God chose the foolish things of this world to shame the wise and God chose the weak things of this world to shame the strong”, Tan says in the call.
“Our campaign slogan is ‘Diversity is a code word for white genocide.’ Donald Trump’s campaign may help remind Americans that all genocide, even against white people, is evil”. He is courageous and he speaks his mind.
Talking Points Memo said the voice on the call that rang Iowan households Saturday belongs to Jared Taylor, founder of the white supremacist magazine American Renaissance. “Second, anyone who gets to the part where the redneck explains that we need “smart white people” in this country is probably going to hang up in disgust before the disclaimer, and some non-trivial number of them will assume that Trump is behind this”. “This call is not authorized by Donald Trump”.
“Clearly our movement has been energized by Trump”, said Richard Spencer, director of the National Policy Institute, a far-right group dedicated to promoting the interests of white Americans.
Trump’s campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment Monday. Support Donald Trump. I paid for this through the super PAC. “He’s delegitimized them, he’s humiliated them, and I think that opens a space for someone else… it’s not so much Trump per se”.
‘I’m Jared Taylor with American Renaissance.
