In the premiere episode of NBC’s “Blindspot” Season 2 titled “In Night So Ransomed Rogue”, it seems Jane (Jaimie Alexander) will finally resolve things with the Federal Bureau of Investigation after being at odds with the agency in the previous season. “Blindspot” executive producer Martin Gero stated, via TV Insider, that the upcoming season will have the team moving on from learning more about Jane’s identity, to finding out what’s the scheme behind her former organization. Her body is marked with fresh tattoos, among which is the name of Federal Bureau of Investigation agent, Kurt Weller. “Archie’s character trusts Jane more than Weller and the rest of the team do at the beginning of the season”, said Gero in the report. Mayfair confesses to Weller that Operation Daylight was a secret intelligence program that illegally obtained information and made it appear legitimate. She’s being forced to work with them. She agrees: she wants the people who tortured her to pay.
It doesn’t take long for everyone to come back together though under new series regular Archie Panjabi, whose NSA character forges a reason to bring Jane back into the mix. With Oscar still dead of scythe-through-the-chest-related injuries, Jane get a new contact with her old crew. and he’s another rugged stud. The biggest disclosure this season is Jane’s true identity, and this time it won’t be a made-up cover. Also, new faces from Jane’s past will play a major role in unraveling her memories and tattoos.
