Who is the new Star Wars villain?
Now that Empire Magazine has already unveiled both fold-out covers for its Star Wars-themed issue – depicting both sides of the Force, no less – the outlet has today unleashed the first photo of what is surely to be a steady stream of new information for J.J. Abrams’ galactic adventure, Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The first one featured new villains Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie) and General Hux (Domhnall Gleeson). The heroes Finn (John Boyega), Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) can be seen in the other poster along with the Millennium Falcon and the BB-8 droid. Profusely illustrated throughout with photos, production art and original art, the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Visual Dictionary chronicles every character, weapon, starship, droid, creature, and alien to be found in the highly anticipated Star Wars sequel”.
And don’t forget to run, not walk! Could the work of The Empire be seen as unfulfilled?
The J.J. Abrams movie will be the focus of Empire magazine’s next issue. Together with the Star Wars: “The Force Awakens Visual Dictionary, these books comprise a definitive look at this all-new chapter in the Star Wars saga and a welcome addition to any fan’s reference library!”
“This agreement enables Holden a connection to one of the biggest and most loyal followings in the world, over 500 million fans globally, and allows us to think outside the box as we continue to capture the imagination of our customers”. A new picture of Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) in what appears to be a jungle planet has been posted on the magazine’s website. It will be interesting to see how the universe has evolved after three decades.
Speaking to EW, Kasdan said his “emotion” is what sets him apart.
‘But when I heard how she wanted to do this in the most emotional, character-based and authentic way, I found myself leaning forward and, just for a moment, imagining what it would be to direct a Star Wars movie’. – Kylo Ren is shaping up to be a force to be reckoned with. He is actually part of an intergalactic organization known as Knights of Ren.
