The good news from the NBC/Wall Street Journal poll is that despite a wave of anti-Muslim violence and the growing presence of Islamophobia in American politics, general opinion on Muslims hasn’t shifted much. The more muslims feel sad, the more ISIS feel that they can recruit them.
Trump, though, isn’t the only person on Anonymous’ list of targets.
The poll also found that seven in 10 likely Republican primary voters believed Trump was well-equipped to confront the threat of terrorism, with four in 10 “very confident” he could respond to the threat.
Anonymous has launched similar attacks on other groups, as well as made public statements on issues surrounding race including the release of information on alleged Ku Klux Klan members last month.
“This latest demand that we not let Muslims into the country really plays right into the hands of the terrorists”, Clinton said.
