Will Peyton Manning sue Al Jazeera? Could he lose in court?
The report also says that Manning had the performance enhancing drugs sent to his home under his wife Ashley’s name.
Manning saying he will likely sue the network for their report linking his wife Ashley to human growth hormone.
Al Jazeera Investigates/via YouTube Al Jazeera established by secretly recordinging interviews with Charlie Sly (pictured), a former Guyer Institute employee who has since recanted his claims.
Al Jazeera reporter Deborah Davies attempted to clarify the report in a follow up on NBC’s “Today” show saying, saying that the documentary had not stated that Manning had used the banned substance.
The report/documentary particularly mentioned that Manning received HGH in his wife’s name when he was in the process of recovering from a serious neck injury four years back, but Manning was quick to deny it in a rather angry and fuming way.
For our part, we’re going to say this is one more example of how people hostile to our culture and society – whether they be Islamists from the shores of the Persian Gulf or leftists from the shores of the Atlantic Ocean – are using media propaganda to diminish our morale. It has come to my attention that the broadcaster Al Jazeera has somehow obtained recordings or communications of me making statements concerning a number of athletes and that Al Jazeera plans to air a program about them. The report claims Manning received HGH from an Indianapolis anti-aging clinic in 2011 while he was still with the Colts. He was consistent, he was calm, he was absolutely not badgered.
Al Jazeera identified Sly as a pharmacist employed at Guyer Institute, an Indiana-based anti-aging clinic. In a statement Saturday night, December 26, 2015, Manning said: “The allegation that I would do something like that is complete garbage and is totally made up”.
“Let’s make it clear what the allegation is”. Davies said. “That’s not something a journalist could find”.
We all naturally produce HGH to help with cell growth and regeneration, with women producing about twice as much of the hormones than males. Following publication of the Al Jazeera documentary, he recorded a video recanting his statements to Collins.
Tom Brady and Peyton Manning may be fierce rivals in football, but the two individuals share an unlikely friendship outside of it.
Ironically, Brady’s bitter feud with commissioner Roger Goodell could spur the NFL to launch an investigation of Manning: How could the league, in good conscience, spend millions trying to convict Brady of ball tampering, then shrug when another marquee QB is accused of taking illegal performance-enhancing drugs?
