William and Kate’s message to Paris victims
Prince William was absent fro the event, he and his wife were spotted out together earlier today at the French Ambassador’s home in London.
“You’ve grown since I last saw you”, Kate said to Rowan.
The quilts for George and Charlotte were crafted under the supervision of Terrance Gilbert, from Kent, who is also being honoured for his support of fostered children. The mother-of-two stunned in a cobalt blue dress as she stepped out for the Fostering Excellence Awards on Tuesday night, shining a spotlight on The Fostering Network – a charity dedicated to foster care.
The plan calls for French experts to work with local authorities – archaeologists and art experts if possible – to help remove works of art or other antiquities that can be moved and take them for safe-keeping in France.
The Duchess’s decision to wear the Indian designer comes just days after it was confirmed that she and William would embark on a tour of India next spring.
“Sadly not every young person has a positive start in life, but The Fostering Network, foster carers and all those involved in working with fostered young people throughout the United Kingdom will continue to strive to make life better for them”.
Kate has a planned appearance tonight at the Fostering Excellence Awards, where she will be presenting awards to three young people.
“It is fantastic that we are all gathered this evening to celebrate fostering and the truly transformational care that is a lifeline to so many”, Catherine wrote in a statement ahead of the ceremony.
The awards aim to celebrate extraordinary achievements of people within the fostering community, including foster carers, young people, social workers, civil servants and other young organisations, as well as of young people aged 16 to 24 who have been fostered.
All three recipients are or were foster children at one point in their lives. These children have often experienced neglect and abuse, or have witnessed domestic violence or substance misuse. There is now a need for at least 8,370 new foster families across the United Kingdom.
