The couple watched the match from the Royal Box at Wimbledon’s Centre Court, which they shared with other spectators that included William’s aunt Sophie Wessex, Prince Albert of Monaco, and William’s cousin Zara Phillips, who is Queen Elizabeth II’s second-eldest grandchild. (Photo by Ian Walton/Getty Images) Britain’s Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge (L) and Prince William, Duke of Cambridge (R) take their seats in the royal box on centre court to watch the men’s singles quarter-final match between Britain’s Andy Murray and Canada’s Vasek Pospisil on day nine of the 2015 Wimbledon Championships at The All England Tennis Club in Wimbledon, southwest London, on July 8, 2015.
Incidentally, though the weather did try to ruin the day, the rains only lasted for around 15 minutes and thereafter; Andy slammed his way into the semi-finals.
Ex- England footballer David Beckham was also there with his son Romeo.
Kate wore a striking scarlet LK Bennett sleeved dress, a stark difference to the conservative white outfit she wore to the christening of her daughter Princess Charlotte this week. They reportedly plan to upgrade the tennis court at their new country home Anmer Hall to include AstroTurf, a copper beach border and surrounding trees.
Federer progressed after beating Frenchman Gilles Simon 6-3 7-5 6-2 on Court One. Right after the match between Murry and Pospisil, Novak Djokovic vs. Marin Cilic were to battle it out for the semi-finals.
She teamed the outfit with a DVF leopard print cluch and Ray Ban wayfarers, and was seen laughing and chatting with Prince William.
The royal couple has been making quite a few public appearances. This is the first time; Kate and William have stepped out without their kids in tow.
