Wind Advisory for most of WNY Today
Winds are predicted at 21 to 26 miles per hour for the Cody area with potential gusts up to 40 miles per hour.
Strong and gusty southwesterly winds are expected to develop this morning ahead of a cold front, according to the National Weather Service. The threat of thunder lasts through about 3 p.m.
A coastal flood advisory is in effect until 4 p.m. Saturday, impacting the towns of Aberdeen, Westport and Ocean Shores. Winds will switch to northwesterly Sunday afternoon.
A 20 percent chance of showers before 10 a.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 60.
Oh, it’s still raining alright, but the rainfall amounts should taper today leaving us with wet streets, soggy yards and the occasional “ponding” on area roads and freeways. Sunday’s storm is expected to bring more than an inch of rain to higher elevations in the North Bay, with around a half-inch falling in San Francisco and Oakland, Strudley said.
As of 2:30 a.m., the snow level was about 7,500 to 8,000 feet.
Strong crosswinds are expected alone east-west routes across western Utah, especially Highways 6 and 50.
