Windows update knocks out internet connections
Seeing that Microsoft is creating a special edition of Windows 10 that is compatible with Qualcomm devices only means that the two companies will team and add a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset to the Windows 10 Notebooks and tablets.
Even though Microsoft has been busy trying to absorb Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and Windows 7 users into the new Windows 10 platform, it hasn’t forgotten all about the older operating systems.
Microsoft said yesterday that it is paving the way for easier, faster Windows 10 computing on mobile devices with new support from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon ARM processors.
Windows IoT Core can sometimes lag a little behind Windows 10 PC releases so it’s not clear when the IoT version will roll out. In 2017 Microsoft is going to put a big push on their next-gen Surface Book, because at the right price it could be a breakthrough product. Neither operations are easy for computer novices to undertake, so some users may be left without a connection until Microsoft issues a downloadable tool to fix the issue.
Earlier this summer, a WIndows 10 update stopped many webcams from working.

According to a report by The Verge, unlike Windows RT, this is a full version of Windows 10 that is compiled to run on natively Qualcomm Snapdragon hardware.
But Microsoft’s success with the full-featured Surface PC is a good omen for this new attempt to get a piece of the mobile pie.
“We are excited to bring Windows 10 to the ARM ecosystem with Qualcomm Technologies”, said Terry Myerson, executive vice president of the Windows and Devices Group at Microsoft. The financial company already offers a skill for Alexa, and the Cortana functionality will let users manage their money by doing things like checking their balance, paying bills, and seeing how much money they spent at particular merchants.
