Winter storm warning issued for Sunday
A Freezing Rain Advistory is in effect until noon, while Woodford County and counties to the north and west are under a Winter Storm Warning until 3 p.m. Though less snow is expected, about three to six inches, the area will be hit by periods of sleet and freezing rain and 45-mile-an-hour winds.
Sunday is expected to have a high of 62 degrees, and the last week of December will cool off a bit but will still be fairly warm compared to other years, Reaugh said.
Early forecasts of heavy snowfall Monday night in the St. Cloud area have been tempered slightly, but enough snow is still expected to cause driving difficulties Tuesday.
The snow is coming courtesy of a storm system moving in from the northwest and cold weather coming from the north, Arnold said.
