Winter Storm Warnings across southern Wisconsin
A powerful winter storm approaching Wisconsin is expected to deliver the first measurable snow to the south.
The snow should be out of the Omaha area by 3 a.m. Saturday at the latest.

Snow-covered and slippery roads will make travel hard, the weather service said. Northwest winds gusting to 25 miles per hour.
On Thursday several counties were issued a Winter Storm Watch for the same time frame. “We always encourage people to take public transportation, arrive early, drive safely, and enjoy the event”, said Gary Schenkel, OEMC Director.
Meteorologists predict the first accumulating snow of the season – dubbed Winter Storm Bella by the Weather Channel – will move across northern IL starting this evening and persist through the day Saturday.
The snow could be heavy at times. The advisory warns that “potential exists for hard driving conditions and reduced visibilities”. Snow should diminish around noon to light snow and flurries and ending around dusk. No accumulation or light dusting is all that is expected. That’s when I 94 and M 59 and additional 2 to 4 inches of accumulation as possible.
Sunday will have scattered snow showers in the morning. The snow is forecast to enter western Iowa by late tomorrow morning and push east.
