Winter Weather moves in tonight

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory from 6 p.m. tonight until 10 a.m. on Tuesday for Luzerne and Lackawanna counties. Temperature rising to around 35 by midnight.
The rest of Tuesday will be rainy and windy with gusts over 20MPH possible Highs will top out in the low 40s so whatever accumulation we do see, will be washed away. New ice accumulation of around a 0.2 of an inch possible. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 28.
The National Weather Service in Albany says 3 to 8 inches of snow and sleet is expected in the Lake George-Saratoga region, with 2 to 4 inches, and some ice, expected in the Capital Region. Up to a half an inch of rain is possible, and the high will be near 45.
Sunday’s high in Madison was 36 at 1:25 p.m., 9 degrees above the normal high and 14 degrees below the record high of 50 for December 27, set in 1936, 1946 and 2003.
Cloudy skies will carry over into Wednesday night, along with a 40 percent chance of showers.
