Wisconsin clears Capitol Building due to bomb threat: administration
Police have been given the “all clear” after they evacuated the Wisconsin Capitol building following a bomb threat on Wednesday afternoon.
Lawmakers are back at work following a bomb threat that forced the evacuation of the state capitol. Budget talks were taking place in the legislature when the evacuation occurred.
The state Capitol in Madison has just been evacuated because of a bomb threat.
State Representative John Macco (R De Pere/Green Bay) says dogs are being brought to the Capitol and that it will be “a while” before debates resume. Everyone was told to exit to the lawn across the street from the Capitol.
The assembly floor was immediately evacuated – as people were told to vacate capital square. Gathering across the street per Capitol Police order.
