With 57.2 percent holding an unfavorable opinion, that’s a minus-18.2 percentage point gap in net favorability.
But that’s a drop of 15 points from the 40 percent support he had in the April poll, before he entered the race.
Ben Carson came in second, with the support of 13 percent of the state’s Republicans, and Trump finished third with 9 percent.
The Marquette poll surveyed 802 registered voters from Aug. 13 to Aug. 16, with a margin of error of plus or minus 4.3 percentage points.

The latest poll results show 25 percent favoring Walker.
Walker signed a contentious state budget that cut University of Wisconsin funding by $250 million, borrowed a record amount for roads and raised park fees. Gov. Walker is a team builder who can unite Republicans and bring Democrats and independents to support his conservative reforms like he did in Wisconsin. He also proposes restructuring medicaid and allowing people to shop for insurance across state lines. Walker has since scrapped the agency’s loan program and removed himself as chairman of the board.
Walker faced criticism for lacking passion in his first GOP debate performance earlier this month. Also of note, the April poll asked about 12 candidates, none of whom have ever hosted a reality TV show. Former Sen. Russ Feingold (D) leads incumbent Sen. Like Walker, Clinton has seen her lead narrow since April when she polled at 58 percent – before Sanders joined the race. And Johnson had 42 percent, up from 38 percent in April.
