With new hip, Jerry Jones sees pep in step of his Cowboys
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, executive vice president Stephen Jones, and head coach Jason Garrett officially kicked off training camp with the annual state of the team address on Wednesday. The team will be a trendy pick among many to reach the NFC title game, if not the Super Bowl. “This year’s team is different than last year’s team and we all have to understand that”.
“I just think you have to start over every year, and I think you have to instill that in everybody”, Garrett said.
Training camp for the Dallas Cowboys is finally upon us and Cowboys Nation couldn’t be more excited.
Stephen Jones said the team holds Mincey in high regard, but is disappointed in his actions because they expect all players under contract to be in camp.
McClain was caught using an illegal substance and Hardy’s suspension is due to off-field issues involving domestic violence. “McFadden is an experienced back”. Romo was able to handle most of the off-season work, and Garrett said they’ll handle his availability on a day-by-day basis.
In the Cowboys’ two playoff games, Mincey had six tackles, two sacks and two quarterback pressures with one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. Gregory is seen as a probable starter as the season goes on so if the Cowboys stick to a number for Mincey; that should not be too much of a surprise.
“We’ve had this experience before”.
With wholesale changes on the defensive side of the ball, losing an All-Pro running back, but possessing maybe the best offensive line in the entire NFL, the ’15 version of the Cowboys are going to be Must-Watch TV once again, especially Week 1 where they and the New York Giants will play on Sunday Night Football. Anxious Cowboys fans even lined up outside the Residence Inn Marriott Hotel to greet the team as they arrived. It’s a grind. You have to be relentless in building the kind of team you want to be a part of, and that’s something we take very seriously.
While Jones did not directly comment on Patriots owner Bob Kraft’s criticism of the league, Jones did come out in support of commissioner Roger Goodell.
