Wizards coach on court confuses Courtney Lee during Knicks’ final play
The Knicks front office woes have been documented over the years, and while Jackson’s greatness as a coach can’t be disputed, it looks like he doesn’t exactly know what’s best for the team from his luxury box.
Anthony, who has a no-trade clause in his contract, reiterated that he plans to remain in NY. I battled through so much just to prove I could play. “But I’m sure the National Basketball Association will talk to him and do what’s right”.
Here we go, Knicks fans.
Wherever this thing goes with Anthony-Jackson, I’m going to give credit to Melo.
Anthony insisted to Iannazzone that he and his family are “settled” in NY.
The Washington Wizards travel to Madison Square Garden for the first time this season to play against the New York Knicks.
The Knicks are 3-7 in their last 10 games. New York, meanwhile, sit just a few spots back from a playoff spot, and could make it if they can tighten things up, but it honestly doesn’t look that great. Otherwise, it looks like Anthony will be in NY for at least the next two seasons despite having differences of opinion with Jackson. When the Knicks do win, the team gets praised, but when they lose, Melo’s to blame, and he’s clearly had enough of it.
“He was right next to me and he was screaming, ‘I’m right here, I got your help”. “I didn’t think it would get to this point, but I think as a player if you can get that (no-trade clause), you have a right to protect yourself and take care of yourself when it comes to that. Even when he’s not knocking (down shots), we still believe in him”. “I think the people that’s had those type of moments before understand kind of what it’s like to be in the groove like that, what it’s like to have a feeling like that”.
“He was on the court”, Anthony said.
Carmelo Anthony added, “They have six players on the court”.
New York Knicks superstar Carmelo Anthony is “tired” of hearing the chatter surrounding his future with the franchise and has no intention to be traded out of the Big Apple, the All-Star forward said on Wednesday. The Knicks can figure it out, and when they do, Anthony will be a big reason why.
“I’ve proven that over the years, day in and day out”, he said in the Knicks’ locker room. The Celtics make sense since they could use another scorer and have assets and draft picks that could entice the Knicks. Anthony has a no-trade clause in his contract, but he said he would be willing to listen to management if they told him they wanted to make a change. It’s worth roughly $9.9 million, and would be split in half and added to his salary this season and next.
As frequent of a target as Anthony has been to the Celtics every time he was being shopped around or an impending free agent, it’s tough to resist the idea of him in green.
