Wolves sign Liverpool’s Sheyi Ojo on loan
One of Liverpool’s many attacking starlets is closing in on a loan move to Wolverhampton Wanderers as Brendan Rodgers tries to aid his development with regular first-team football.
The latest youngsters to discarded on loan are 18-year old Sheyi Ojo and ‘excellent’ 21-year old Lawrence Vigoroux.
The Mirror have now reported that the Reds have agreed a deal to let Ojo leave the club on loan for the whole of the 2015/16 season to give him experience of physical, competitive football while also building up his stamina in one of the most non-stop leagues in the world.
Striker Adam Le Fondre joined from Cardiff City on Monday evening and the two signings bolster Kenny Jackett’s squad considerably ahead of the season starting at Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.
The 18-year-old winger, who spent last season on loan at Wigan, is set to link up with his new team-mates on Thursday morning.
The move comes following an impressive pre-season with the Liverpool first team, which was capped off with an excellent goal to seal the win against Swindon Town this past Sunday, in Liverpool’s final pre-season clash. It’s a really good club and it’s got great facilities.
Meanwhile Wolves have confirmed the departure of defender Georg Margreitter after reaching an agreement to cancel the remainder of his contract. All of the players are nice, they have welcomed me to the club and the staff are brilliant as well.
