Woman arrested in murder-for-hire of Dallas dentist
Maj. Max Geron said 31-year-old Kristopher Love, 31, has been charged with capital murder in the September 2 death of Kendra Hatcher.
An alleged hitman has been arrested in Dallas and is being detained in connection with the murder of a Dallas dentist named Kendra Hatcher. When he was taken into custody, Love was armed.
Dallas police have arrested a man accused of shooting dead a paediatric dentist as they issued an arrest warrant for a woman suspected of hiring him. He was also charged with illegally owning a firearm because he is a convicted felon.
Love remains in jail on a $2.5 million bond.
Police said Love shot Hatcher when he and Cortes drove in a Jeep Cherokee to the Gables Park 17 in the Uptown section of the city. Delgado is, apparently, on the run and police continue to search for her.
Delgado is the ex-girlfriend of Hatcher’s boyfriend.
Police have arrested another woman, Crystal Cortes, 23, who is suspected of driving the gunman to the vehicle park.
Investigators have said Cortes was offered $500 to serve as a getaway driver in what was supposed to be a robbery, but the accomplice shot Hatcher instead. Dallas police are convinced that Delgado planned the murder of Hatcher and hired Love to carry it out.
According to officers, Cortes admitted to conspiring with Delgado in a plot to rob 35-year-old Dr Hatcher. “All I will suggest to her specifically is that she turn herself in as quickly as possible”, Geron said.
Delgado was questioned by police in early September as authorities investigated the case, but she was released.
