Woman carries severed child’s head in Moscow
A woman has been arrested and charged with murder after she brandished a child’s severed head outside a metro station in Moscow.
Local media reported that the woman – who was wearing a burka – remained outside the station for an hour before being detained by police.
The body of a three-to-four-year-old child was found in a nearby flat that had been burned down on a Narodnoye Opolcheniye Street in north-western Moscow.
Bystanders said it was hard to determine if it was a man or a woman, as the person was dressed head to toe in black.
Lifenews.ru, an online news portal with close contacts to the police, published video footage of a woman it identified as the nanny.
Investigators of the case said that a forensic psychiatric evaluation of the criminal will be carried out to understand her unusual behavior. She had not even some kind of bundle, but a head.
It said a female citizen from a “Central Asian country” aged 39 had been detained in relation to the crime and was undergoing mental health checks. She had also been caring for another child, but the parents had taken that child away before the incident.
Around half a dozen officers swooped outside the station and dragged her to the ground.
Police officials suspect that Bobokulova might have murdered the child, beheaded her and then set the house on fire.
