Woman dies in fire in Dedham
The fire started just after 6 a.m. Saturday morning at a home on Harding Terrace.
Moreno-Glenn and Etheart exited the burning home, but O’Brien did not.
Firefighters were on scene quickly and found that two residents who escaped the house had suffered minor injuries.
Her two roommates say they were able to make it out because they O’Brien risked her own life to wake them up. Officials found heavy fire on the second floor of the building when they arrived.
O’Brien was taken to Norwood Hospital where she was pronounced dead, according to Spillane.
“On behalf of the entire community, our most honest condolences go out to the victim’s family”, Spillane said.

The two-alarm fire is believed to be the result of an electrical failure, according to a preliminary investigation by the State Fire Marshal’s Office, according to the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office.
Sitting on her porch surrounded by dog-themed decorations, Davis was intermittently overwhelmed, choking up as she described her longtime friend. Fifty-two-year-old Lynne O’Brien did not make it out. They said they yelled at her, but she walked back into the fire.
The other two residents were treated for minor injuries at hospitals.
