Woman Fatally Stabs Expectant Mother While Trying to Steal Her Baby

A Bronx woman has been fatally stabbed and her baby was ripped from her womb, in a gruesome incident which occurred on Friday at 4450 Monticello Avenue, in the vicinity of West Fourth Street.

Police are reportedly seeking a warrant to test whether Wade is pregnant amid claims she had told neighbours she was expecting. Investigators say the victim was apparently stabbed in the stomach multiple times.

The woman was taken to the hospital and was pronounced dead, authorities said.

Sutton’s family declined to talk to reporters Saturday morning as they left Montefiore Medical Center, where the baby, named Genesis, was recovering.

Wade, additionally 22, allegedly strangled Sutton, subsequently cut the young woman’s throat before knifing her in the gut about 2:30 p.m., cops said.

A local lawmaker said the woman’s baby survived the attack, but has been hospitalized.

“I seen when they were wheeling her out and they had the blanket over her head”, said neighbor Diana Rivera.

One theory that police officers now have is that it might be a case of fetal abduction or baby snatching, whereby an unborn chid is kidnapped after a pregnant woman is killed.

Charges are now pending against the alleged attacker while she undergoes a psychiatric evaluation.

Sources said she’s refusing to allow authorities to examine her. Police are waiting on a search warrant to give her an exam and find out if she’s the one who gave birth, Gold reported.
