Woman stabbed at Art Basel Miami Beach
A bystander posted footage of the incident to Instagram, which shows officers surrounding the man before he’s shot and falls to the ground.
Remonstrated to give himself up, the man was caught on video taking a single step toward cops and placing his hand on a squad vehicle.

The Miami-Dade County Police Department could not be immediately reached for comment.
“He was challenged by the officers in the street”, Oates said, “At some point during that confrontation he did raise his hand with a straight edge razor in it. He was shot”.
In the tense final moments, one officer fired a tazer and another fired an assault weapon.
The incident happened around 5:15 p.m.at the Miami Beach Convention Center, police officials said. Others said that they saw a woman who looked like she had a pen sticking out of her neck.
She was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital and is expected to survive. The assailant was arrested at the scene, The Miami Herald reports.

A woman has been charged with attempted murder after another woman was attacked at an art exhibition in what was wrongly believed to be performance art. She told the Miami Herald one witness thought it was a performance with fake blood until he realized the blood was real.

Both the victim and Zhao were patrons of the art show and not exhibitors.
Miami Beach Police later released a photo of the razor that the suspect had in his hand.
Security guards and event organizers worked quickly to clean up the scene to avoid further disruptions.
