Woman tricks Alex Trebek into saying ‘Turd Ferguson’

I’ll take classic SNL punchlines for $600, Alex.

If you’re anyone who appreciates classicSaturday Night Live sketches – specifically “Celebrity Jeopardy!” – you’re familiar with Norm MacDonald’s infamous Burt Reynolds impression.

The question: “This song, from a 1999 animated film about censorship, had a word censored from its Oscar performance”.

Now, of course, we must deal with the fact that there is no actual “Love Ballad of Turd Ferguson“. However, instead of going by “Burt Reynolds” the character prefers to be called “Turd” because he thinks the name is hilarious. Trebek didn’t crack amid the joke. The correct question, by the way, was “What is “Blame Canada” from South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut“.

Meanwhile, Lavin – a former staffer at HuffPost – told the site about her Internet-friendly response.

The prank was a hit with “SNL” and “Jeopardy” fans on Twitter.

Alex Trebek has done a lot of funny things over his 31-year stint as the host of Jeopardy! – and most of them have been completely unintentional.
