Filming has now begun, and shooting will take place in the United Kingdom, France and Italy. Following Superman in 1938 and Batman in 1939, Wonder Woman completes the superhero “trinity” as an advocate for sisterhood, equality, peace, harmony, love, and justice.
Gal Gadot is the new Wonder Woman, and she’ll debut in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Just last week, a photo from the set of Wonder Woman made its way online thanks to previously unannounced cast member, French actor Saïd Taghmaoui, posting a photo alongside his co-star Chris Pine as Steve Trevor.
Now that Zack Snyder has taken the reins for the direction of the new DCEU, George Miller’s Justice League movie is completely dead, leaving us to wonder what might have been. This would be the first time since Marvel Woman landed on the duvet of a comic book in 1942 that the character will have the spotlight on the large screen. Today’s cinematic landscape could have looked very different, both in terms of how superhero movies are released and also when it comes to the aesthetic of the DC Cinematic Universe.
Warner Bros. and everyone involved has been mum about the plot of the upcoming blockbuster, but recent rumors have stated that Ares will play a large behind-the-scenes role in the film.
