World heavyweight champion Tyson Fury says he is relishing a rematch with
“I want that fight to happen as soon as possible”, the man known as the “Bronze Bomber” – in reference to his 2008 Olympic medal – told the BBC. “I am the most charismatic heavyweight champion since Muhammad Ali”.
Tyson Fury, sitting two places away from his father on the top table, laughed out loud. “Two sides have 30 days, or purse bid”.
The reality is that Wilder turned professional after taking bronze at the 2008 Olympics, and has a 35-0 professional record.
United supporter Fury overcame Klitschko last weekend as he won the WBA, IBF and WBO titles, and the club are keen to invite him to a game so that he can show his belts to the crowd.
In the 12th and final round, Klitschko pressed frenetically for the knockout, but Fury remained calm and killed the clock.
I believe I can beat anyone so, yeah, I can beat Tyson Fury.
“If the opportunity presents itself and it was the right opportunity, we would definitely take the fight”.
“That’s four world champions we have, we’re a big boxing city, and I think we’re the leading boxing city in the world with the most world champions”.
“He caught me with one right hand and one left hook in the whole fight and you can’t win fights like that”.
That’s saying something, isn’t it? I thought, “I’m never going to let my kids be knocked about for money and being abused for a public spectacle”. “I’m a true natural fighter”.
He’s suggested everything from being given a pair of boxing gloves that didn’t fit him to his weight being written down wrong at the weigh-in were attempts to rattle the unbeaten Fury and get into his head before the fight.
The 27-year-old is adamant he won’t face Haye, even if he must vacate a title in order to do so, per David Anderson of the Daily Mirror. “This small war has been lost, but I still have the fighting spirit”.
There is a rematch clause in the contract between Fury and the 39-year-old Klitschko, and the beaten champion – who had his first loss in almost 10 years – has said: “It’s to be continued”. Nothing was ever proven, and Klitschko defeated Brewster in a rematch in 2007. “If there’s a re-match at Wembley, I’m sure it will do very well”.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Fury also doesn’t want to fight Joshua and Dillian Whyte. He is a pretender, a fraud, let him fight the next in line.
“I didn’t want to take drinks or food from anyone”. I’d like to do it all again.
“It wasn’t just a song I picked out of my mind, it was specially planned, the song out of Armageddon”.
I’d like to come back to Germany again to fight Wladimir. I can eat meals, go out and enjoy what I achieved.
