World Of Warcraft: Legion Announced By Blizzard
And, as Illidan promised us years ago in The Burning Crusade, we were not prepared. On the other hand, an announcement this early (instead of, you know, at BlizzCon this year) could potentially indicate a release this November to try and stem the flood of abandoned subscriptions-WoW subs are down 40 percent since January. The continent was one the lively motherland of the Night Elf civilisation, but is now deserted. Fans of the original Warcraft games and novels will recognize such locations as Suramar and Black Rook Hold. Azeroth is getting invaded (again), except this time, it’s the “largest invasion” in the world (of Warcraft)’s history. The only way to seal the portal and fight back the Legion is to explore the ancient continent and obtain the Pillars of Creation.
New artifact weapons will be added to the game, one for each class specialization.
You’ll also earn something called Artifact Power as you level up through the game, completing major quest lines, beating dungeon bosses, and winning PVP battlegrounds.
You’ll also be able to see through walls and obstacles, and perform mid-air jumps with your Demon Hunter character. This class can fit the role of a melee DPS or tank, wearing leather and commanding the power of the Illidari. You’re their leader and Order Halls are shared spaces for your entire class. Shamen have a conclave overlooking the Maelstrom; Paladins have a sanctum under Light’s Hope Chapel; Warlocks will make an enclave on the Legion homeworld.
Additionally, WoW: Legion will enable players to mess around with new Artifacts, class-specific weapons that players will be able to customize to their liking with perks and abilities. Once more, Azeroth needs to band together and save the world. Dalaran will be back as the main player city hub, and Blizzard is finally letting players go to the Emerald Nightmare, a corrupted section of the game’s Emerald Dream.
Gul’dan has triggered a massive invasion of demons. With the Legion an imminent threat, players will need to pick up the lore’s most legendary items in order to succeed.
