World’s best football player Lionel Messi’s extremely special fan found in Afghanistan
More images posted to Hamayon’s Facebook page show Murtaza holding up the bag, and wearing it while he appears to dance.
According to Murtaza’s father, the original photo of his son wearing the plastic shirt was taken by his oldest son Hamayon.
The boy seen wearing a striped plastic bag with Messi’s name and number has been found after a long search.
However others have disputed the veracity of the Iraqi report, saying Homin is not the boy from the picture, who they say is actually from Afghanistan.
“I told him that we were living in a poor village far from the city and it was impossible for me to get him the shirt”. The father, Arif, says Murtaza was distraught that he did not have his idol’s shirt.
Pictures of a young boy wearing a homemade Lionel Messi Argentina shirt, fashioned out of a plastic bag, have captured hearts all over the world.
Azim put BBC Trending in touch with his brother Arif, Murtaza’s father, who answered his Afghan mobile and confirmed his son was indeed the boy that the web has been searching for. The family lived in the Jaghori District in the eastern Ghazni province of Afghanistan, BBC reports.
Arif said Murtaza knows that he is famous now and “he is extremely happy”.
Kurdish TV channel Kurdistan24tv has claimed to have tracked down the youngster. A comparison between his photos and that of the mysterious Messi fan shows that there are striking similarities.
Ahmadi Murtaza has been termed as Lionel Messi’s biggest fan on the internet. “They called and told us about it. My younger son hopes that foreign countries can help us meet Messi and that we could be good football players like him in the future”.
With this false lead a Kurdistan television station claimed that they have found the Messi kid in Kurdistan and he wants to meet Messi.
