‘World’s grumpiest old woman’ glues nude bottom to Debenhams window in protest

The “World’s Grumpiest Old Woman” is so mad that she stripped down and glued her naked butt to a store window.

Debenhams staff tried to protect the woman’s modesty before she was prised off the window and spoken to by police.

The British newspaper reported that police watched the sticky protest, but it is not clear if the old woman was arrested.

Minded by a male guard, the woman attached herself to Debenham’s at the Centrale Shopping Centre in Croydon wearing just underwear and a pageant sash before using a microphone to launch an odd rant about her low mood.

The woman was wearing only a thong, a sash, and a wig covering her genitals.

“When I was there she was shouting down the mic about police not getting enough respect”. Four police in total on the scene.

Steven Walkden, 42, who runs the Magnetics Bracelet stall opposite the department store, said: “I don’t know what she was on about”.

She was not protesting against Debenhams itself – just the fact there was “nothing on the telly”, according to eyewitnesses.

One witness told the Standard she spoke for at least 25 minutes before she was led away by police.
