World’s Oldest Woman Eats Bacon Daily
Susannah Mushatt Jones has the honor of being one of the only two persons, in the world, that were born in the 1800’s and in July, Guinness World Records declared her to be the oldest living woman. She left after a year to begin working as a nanny, heading north to New Jersey and eventually making her way to New York. She already lost her eyesight and has hearing difficulties, but she is not bedridden and only needs two medications every day, according to Guinness World Records. They claim that the secret to Auntie Jones’ longevity is her generosity and kindness to all those around them. She was still active as a tenant security patrol until she went blind 15 years ago.
On the other hand, it doesn’t seem like she’s had many other bad habits.
Her breakfast consist of scrambled eggs and bacon. Bacon. And, if we are all honest with ourselves, that may sound much better than most advice we’ve ever received about staying healthy. Bacon in the diet can also help to prevent and/or alleviate the effects of heart disease, heart attack, stroke and diabetes. She eats fruit at lunch and has a set plate of meat, veggies and potatoes at dinner.
“She’s never really had medical issues”, another niece, Sebla Mushatt, told New York Daily News. She has no shortage of family members though, and spent her birthday surrounded by majority of her 100 nieces and nephews.
A few doctors deemed it risk-riddled, but oldest woman alive proves daily bacon is key to a long life and, at 116 years old, is hard not to take her word for it.
She is Europe’s oldest living person and has attributed her longevity to eating several raw eggs a day. According to Perls, there is no evidence that bacon leads to a long life.
Not to mention is the most delicious advice for a long and healthy life.
