Worldwide flight diverted due to passenger demanding cat
A Condor Airlines flight bound for Frankfurt, Germany from Las Vegas came to a premature end Friday night with an emergency landing in Denver while accompanied by two fighter jets.
Hucikova was escorted from the plane at DIA, but that didn’t end the problem for the remaining passengers, who spent the next five hours waiting on the plane, Giraldo said.
Heath Montgomery, a spokesman for the airport says the flight was diverted to Denver after the pilot declared an emergency. Due to the inappropriate behavior of one guest aboard, the crew of Condor flight DE5083 en route from Las Vegas to Frankfurt decided precautionarily to land extracurriculary in Denver. He said he could not release details on the number of passengers. She reportedly demanded access to her so called “comfort cat” that she had taken on board.
Two F-16 fighter jets flew from Buckley Air Force base and escorted the flight to DIA. When she was denied, she had an altercation with a flight attendant. An incident occurred between the flight crew and a passenger and no arrest was made, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Information about her indicates she has participated in numerous beauty contests and modeling shoots.
The cat allegedly remains in federal custody. She initially entered the United States in Miami, Florida, October 2, 2014 on a visitor’s visa (B-2). No date for that appearance has been set yet.
