Worldwide students say Chinese president is ‘cute’
Experts on U.S.-China relations have highly commented on Chinese President Xi Jinping’s speech in Seattle, saying Xi’s ongoing state visit to the United States ushers in a great opportunity for the two sides to expand areas of cooperation.
As China has boomed over the past generation – thanks to economic liberalization by its communist regime – it has yielded huge profits for USA businesses.

Last year, the United States shipped $24 billion worth of agriculture products to China, and $14 billion of that were soy exports.
It is no mystery why the Chinese authorities are launching this assault.
The recent slowdown in China’s economy and stock market serves to intensify the government’s anxiety.

It is vital that political and civil society leaders in the West stand with China’s noble human rights defenders. Following a huge military parade in Beijing to mark the defeat of Japan in World War II, the People’s Daily published an article on the front page of its website entitled “US blogger: The parade shows President Xi is a true world class leader”.
China respects the worldwide business practice of non-discrimination and has fulfilled its national treatment and other commitments upon WTO accession, Xi said.
China’s rights record has the potential, however, to grab attention at U.S.-China summits. “Dada’s USA trip is highly important – it’s gao [highbrow], da [grand], shang [superior]”, it says.
