Wow! Arsenal Are Considering A Move For Barcelona’s Star Attacker
Metro has suggested that the Gunners are weighing up a move for Barcelona attacker Arda Turan this summer.
The report claims that the Blues have made Barcelona an enquiry regarding the availably of Turan.
The 29-year-old player had missed the first half of the season due to the Federation Internationale de Football Association transfer ban imposed on the club.
Barcelona signed the Turkish global, who has represented his country a whopping 93 times, last summer but he wasn’t allowed to make a competitive appearance until January 2016 due to the Nou Camp outfit’s transfer ban.
Turan had scored two goals and three assists in 18 appearances in the Spanish top flight last term for Barça mostly playing in the midline behind Luis Enrique’s attacking trio of Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez, and Neymar.
And Sport claim the 29-year-old was close to joining the Premier League outfit before he was coaxed to Catalonia.
Die Borussen and the Blaugrana have already done business together earlier this summer after Marc Bartra moved to the Westfalenstadion from the Nou Camp in a deal worth €8 million.
Denis Suarez’s return to the club, triggered when the club activated the buy-back clause in his contract at Villarreal, looks set to cut into Turan’s time even further – leaving him right out on the fringes of the first-team squad as Arsenal look for a direct midfield threat.
