Wragg fire near Lake Berryessa blackens 7100 acres, at 80 percent containment
The blaze has scorched about 75 acres since it flared up about 1:30 p.m.
Evacuations are in place for Mix Canyon and Sky Ranch roads as the fire continues to move south. There are also several road closures at Pleasants Valley and Mix Canyon roads.
Sections of Pleasants Valley Road were closed to the public as firefighters responded to the blaze. The fire spread past the primary containment area and is quickly moving towards a second containment line along the south side of the original fire with the help of a north wind, a Cal Fire official said. It started last Wednesday in the Lake Berryessa area of Napa County.
An evacuation center has been established at the Ulatis Community Center, 1000 Ulatis Drive in Vacaville.
Since starting nearly a week ago, the Wragg Fire has burned more than 6,991 acres in Napa and Solano counties and is about 80 percent contained.
The fire has thus far destroyed two outbuildings and damaged another four outbuildings and one home, Cal Fire reports.
A Cal Fire official said no structures were immediately by the fire and that evacuations are a precautionary measure.
