WTF Is Happening (In 3 Years) On The Vampire Diaries?!
The drama that unfolded during the last few episodes set up season 7 of The Vampire Diaries to be an epic magic battle between vampires and witches and vampire witches alike.
The real awkwardness presents itself as Caroline finds herself asking about Damon (Ian Somerhalder), which leads to a bit of an extremely awkward exchange followed by uncomfortable silence. “We’re [filming] episode 5 already and the dark, sexy Damon, to be honest, isn’t quite here”. But there are going to be a lot of curveballs thrown their way over the first part of the season that they’re going to have to wrap their heads around and circumvent in order to remain committed and happy. At the start of the season, Damon is seen with Alaric and Bonnie, drinking their way around Europe.
There’s a definite possibility that something more could develop between Stefan and Caroline in the future, but by the end of the season they’ve just left it that he’s willing to wait till she’s ready.
As for life after Elena, Somerhalder earlier hinted that his character will, for a while go back to the Damon of the earlier seasons. “Damon is still here and he’s still evolving and he’s still having a blast and he’s still saying super-smarmy, ridiculously overly confident, very wildly embarrassing and degrading things and he will continue to do that, but with a little love for Elena in his heart”.
However, Wesley says this is not the case: “Elena’s still a very big part of the story”.
Overall, Graham says that is fun to be back in her “witchy boots again”. Anyone who crosses the border into Mystic Falls is fair game. Silly Caroline, thinking she needed time before she could give in to her feelings for Stefan.
Fortunately, Stefan and Caroline are going to do their best and stop Lily and her gang from causing more death and destruction to the town.
Meanwhile, the actor also talked about the brotherly tension that will come into play between Damon and Salvatore in Season 7. If you want to see a different version of this, take a look at what Beau (Jaiden Kaine) is doing when he’s adjusting his scarf at the end of his episode. If you missed it, we recapped it all right here for you. With Elena’s absence, there is plenty of storyline that will propel characters’ paths forward. They are headed by Lily, and while she tries to keep them from making too much trouble, they simply can not be held back. In an answer to one question via his Facebook Q&A, Ian Somerhalder assures everyone that Damon will be shirtless “as much as you want him to be”. Kai has linked her life to Bonnie’s so that only one of them can be alive and conscious at a time. This will reportedly be seen in the second episode.
TVD season 7 premieres on 8 October on CW network.
