WWE Raw: 10 Things To Expect Tonight
Along with Reigns, winning on Raw and making it to the second round were reigning intercontinental champion Kevin Owens (defeated Titus O’Neil), Dolph Ziggler (defeated The Miz), Cesaro (defeated Mr. Money in the Bank Sheamus), and Dean Ambrose (defeated Tyler Breeze).
What shape will Ambrose and Ziggler be in for their match? Ambrose closed the show by saying no matter what happens on Sunday night him and Reigns will always be brothers. Owens pinned Neville with a pop-up powerbomb to move on to the semi-finals of the WWE World Heavyweight Title Tournament. The tournament action would continue on SmackDown with Neville beating King Barrett, Alberto Del Rio defeating Stardust, and, in a major upset, Kalisto defeated Ryback in the last three First Round matches. Undertaker and Kane take them out and then Bray says their time to meet will be at Survivor Series.
It seems obvious to have Kane and Taker on the go-home show before Survivor Series, hyping their upcoming match with the Wyatts, but given their sporadic appearances – particularly in Undertaker’s case – it was no guarantee. As has been predicted since the beginning of the tournament, it appears as though the WWE is heading toward a finals meeting between Ambrose and Reigns.
6-Man Tag: The New Day def. Ryback & The Usos by DQ after Ryback shoves the referee.
Roman Reigns vs. Cesaro – A Superman Punch and Spear from Roman Reigns ends Cesaro and earns Roman a spot in the semifinals. Del Rio won by pinfall after a Tree of Woe double-stomp.
– Charlotte and Paige had a contract signing for their match at Survivor Series.
