WWE Raw: Brock Lesnar smashes Goldberg with F-5
We are staring down the final weeks until the WWE lights up Orlando, Florida in what will be the biggest entertainment spectacle of the calendar year – WrestleMania 33.
After the match, Lesnar attacks him, and the road to WrestleMania is even more intriguing.
In no way does this rivalry need a championship to be relevant. Big Show proved he was a force to be reckoned with, thanks to his knockout punch which won him the match. So what will it be this year?
Less interesting was Cesaro’s victory over Jinder Mahal and The Big Show’s demolition of Rusev, but on the whole Fastlane was a show which gave plenty of storyline progression for Wrestlemania, plus a dynamic finish in the form of Goldberg becoming champion once more. More on this below when I talk, unfortunately, about Goldberg vs. Lesnar. We’ve seen this one-on-one match twice now.
The forecast for WrestleMania 33 became a lot more clear this week.
Interestingly enough, however, at this point, it’s still unclear which particular wrestler may get that celebration or even just which match may fill that coveted main event slot. If you’re like me and you weren’t a fan of how things went down, don’t worry. It’s nearly as underwhelming as her win at Wrestlemania a year ago and that was more due to Ric Flair’s interference than because of her actually winning. WWE has to know this is coming. Goldberg has capitalized on those mistakes, mostly due to the fact that WWE doesn’t fancy putting him into a match longer than the ones he has been part of.
WWE Fastlane is the last pay per view in the run up to Wrestlemania and is essentially the WWE’s last chance to shake things up and surprise its audience.
At the end of nearly every “WrestleMania” is a big celebration, one that heralds the triumph of a conquering warrior who overcame various obstacles to emerge victorious, which is why that main event slot is always a big deal.
This is a much better payoff and ending, and it also plants a seed for Monday Night Raw. That’s what’s so great about WWE, we are here to entertain you, we are here to make you watch with a mystery eye, like what’s going to happen.
Bray Wyatt will defend the WWE Championship against the victor of tonight’s AJ Styles vs.
WWE Raw went off after the incident, and no official confirmation was made for the speculated match. He said that he would’ve beaten Goldberg if it weren’t for Jericho. When The Undertaker chokeslams Roman Reigns, the audio in both versions syncs up again. All scenario, you can be sure that “The Big Dog” main-events.
Still, fans are continuing to debate whether Roman Reigns is meant to be the heel in this storyline with The Undertaker. But even so, he’s still Goldberg and he’s about to retire very soon. And hopefully Kevin Owens will reclaim that Universal Title very soon.
The Universal Championship was the only title to change hands at Fastlane, including the Women’s Championship. The top comments were all harsh criticisms of either Raw or Goldberg himself.
After giving us some of the greatest moments in wrestling history, and after his awful treatment by WWE, I have absolutely no problem with the WWE putting the belt on him one more time before he retires.
