WWE Star Suspended After Incident With Vince McMahon
According to PWI Insider, at the end of last night’s edition of WWE Raw, WWE has suspended Titus O’Neil for 3 months for unprofessional conduct after he had an incident with Vince McMahon.
When Titus arrived for Tuesday’s WWE SmackDown’s TV tapings, WWE informed him that he was suspended and asked him to go home.
McMahon’s response didn’t look angry as he also playfully shoved O’Neil and laughed at him, but obviously the outlook on the situation has changed since then. The entire WWE locker room was on the ramp, including guys like Vince McMahon and Triple H, to greet Bryan. Apparently, Mr. McMahon was not in the mood and gave him a lengthy suspension.
The ban could last up to 90 days, but it seems like anything more than a warning is an overreaction by the WWE’s brass, even if the suspension proves to be shorter.
The reason for the suspension is being reported as a “message” to other talent to act more professional. As a result, O’Neil would be sidelined through May and would therefore miss WrestleMania 32. Bryan was hugged by Vince and walked to the back. McMahon and O’Neil’s altercation was seen in the final moments of Monday’s Raw and WWE has since removed the video of Bryan’s farewell – which included the altercation – from its YouTube channel, WWE.com and from the WWE Network.
Do you think the WWE’s punishment of Titus O’Neil is too harsh?
