WWE Suspends Paige, Alberto Del Rio 30 days each for wellness violations

The WWE suspended two of its popular superstars, Paige and Alberto Del Rio, for wellness violations, the corporation announced on Wednesday. In fact, he wasn’t even on the card for one of the four big pay-per-view events the WWE puts on – this weekend’s SummerSlam. According to the company’s website, this is the first violation for both Superstars. In 2005 her father, Patrick Frary (who wrestles under the name Ricky Knight), and brother Roy Bevis (aka The Zebra Kid), were arrested on charges of falsely imprisoning her mother, Sweet Saraya (real name Julia Hamar). Her first match never took place because she feigned a leg injury.

The timing is also curious because the announcement was made shortly after WWE was publicly embarrassed by Brock Lesnar failing a pair of USADA drug tests.

Now, Eva Marie’s fourth match won’t happen either.

She had been scheduled to compete at SummerSlam, teaming with Natalya and Alexa Bliss against Becky Lynch, Naomi, and Carmella, but the ban means she won’t be able to participate in the match.

Neither wrestler has spoken about the suspensions, which were issued on Paige’s 24th birthday.

It was also reported that Del Rio and Paige, who’re dating each other, went to a Combate America event without notifying the WWE with Del Rio also seen actively promoting the event.

The couple was separated by the WWE brand extension when Del Rio was drafted by “SmackDown Live” and Paige was selected by “RAW”.

Several reports have indicated that Del Rio is unhappy with his position in the company and he could use his “out clause” in September.

Paige and Del Rio’s courtship first came to light when pictures of them kissing at a Disney theme park surfaced online.
