Xabi Alonso unsure of Bayern Munich future

Alonso completed 90% of his passes last term, but what is more impressive is the fact 70.8% of his passes went forwards.

The Anfield legend is heading into the final year of his deal with Bayern and it seems he is certainly in no rush to re-sign with the club.

When asked if he had been sounded out by the club regarding a new contract, Alonso told reporters: “My contract?”

According to the Daily Express, Liverpool are said to be keeping an eye on his situation as Brendan Rodgers would be interested in bringing him on board to aid his young squad. “We have two players for each position”.

Of his first season in Germany, Alonso said: “It was excellent, I did well and feel at home here”.
