Xbox Beta app and preview program coming to Windows 10
Keep the Xbox app open and your Activity Feed will let you know when there are new items to view, comment on, like, or re-share. Players can stream their Xbox One games right onto a Windows 10 operating tablet or PC regardless of which part of the house and how far they are from the Xbox One console.
Microsoft has advised users to hard reset their console and if problems persist, users can opt-out of The New Xbox Experience, which will wipe your data and factory reset the console after which you can use the stable release of the Xbox One System Software.
Real-time Friends list presence. It will also tell you whether you’re able to join whatever game they’re playing by way of multiplayer or party. Previous features which required a manual refresh to update the information – namely the Friends list and Activity Feed – will now be updated in real-time.
Microsoft has begun rolling out the next wave of updates for the Xbox app on Windows 10.
Competitive users will have a new feature to play with, too, as they can now have a side by side comparison of progress in specific games. The Xbox Beta app will let fans “provide early input on features and enhancements coming to the Xbox app on Windows 10, helping us shape the product based on fan feedback”, according to Xbox Wire. Players can also compare achievements, list of games and other percentage based completions with their friends. We’ll report as more is known.
But just like before, Microsoft has apparently forgotten to attach a change log, so this new release is most likely all about bug fixes and performance improvements. To enroll, users will need to download the Xbox Beta app from the Windows Store when it’s made available later this month. He states in his post “You will now be able to use the Xbox app and other inputs compatible with Windows devices – keyboards, touch keypads, and the like – to enter text in search boxes and more on Xbox One”.
The current version of the Xbox App on Windows 10 is available as free download for everyone right now through the Windows 10 Store.
