Xbox Games with Gold for February Announced
Hop on over to the Xbox Wire for the announcement. As has been the case lately, all the Xbox 360 games are backward compatible and can be played on Xbox One. Hot on the heels of Sony’s announcement comes Microsoft with four free titles coming to Xbox owners in February.
“Hand of Fate” is free for gold members from February 1st-29th. That one’s a little stealthier – the underappreciated (though also a little undercooked) Styx: Master of Shadows.
Available for the Xbox 360 from February 1-15 is Sacred Citadel.
The free games that will be given out to Xbox Live subscribers have finally been revealed for the month of February 2016. As for Xbox 360, the aforementioned side-scroller Sacred Citadel will feature for the first two weeks, before it’s replaced by Gears of War 2 on February 16. Killer Instinct Ultra Edition and Deus Ex: Human Revolution will both leave the program on January 31, while Zheros will stick around until February 15. Combining deck-building, tarot cards, choose-your-own-adventure, brawling, and role-playing elements – along with a freakish and memorable narrator/villain – the game manages to get just about every single one of its elements totally right, and it delivers an absolutely awesome experience.
“Sacred Citadel is a brawler set in the medieval world of Sacred, in which swords and sorcery coexist in an ever-shifting landscape”.
Beyond the thirteen gates at the end of the world, the game of life and death is played. So be sure to grab them before they disappear from the free list.
