Xbox Live is now down for Xbox One
The issue was first reported about three hours ago, looking at Xbox Support’s tweets, but updates are still pretty vague, with no ETA on resolution. Microsoft is reporting an issue with signing in to Xbox Live. Our teams are on the case.
“We can’t speculate on a timeframe”.
The recent update on the popular gaming console, Microsoft’s Xbox One, now allows 12 people to take part in the local party chat feature.
DDOS attacks have caused havoc in the past, there is no indication that is the cause of the disruption today, however. For now, those affected, will have to play their games offline.
Because the Xbox One’s online feature set is tied to the Xbox Live network, the not-so-uncommon Xbox Live outage brings the entire console offline.
It’s a pain, because the way Xbox’s sign-in works means that if you can’t sign in and access “core services”, you can’t use anything: the store is down, Netflix won’t work, etc.

Xbox 360 recently faced days without being able to access key areas of the service. “Have no idea what a packet is but I’m not happy”. The Xbox Feedback showed that numerous Xbox One users love the avatars and hence Microsoft has added new avatars. Others are having trouble launching primarily single-player releases that rely on a connection to a third-party server.
