Xbox One Backwards Compatibility List Updated: Xbox 360 Games Will…
On top of it all, the list of backward compatible Xbox 360 games playable on the Xbox One continues to grow.
After having an Xbox for some period of time, it’s easy to feel like you’re a part of the Xbox family – a group of friends all brought together by the hobby that they love – playing games, watching movies, taking part in the discussion on Reddit, and anything else that makes the community stronger.
The tweet by Deus Ex account confirms that Xbox team is working on making multi-disc games a reality and Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut will be available early next year as well as the Missing Link DLC.
We’ll see how early is early, especially when the free Xbox 360 version of the game goes live for Gold subscribers. From titles like DEUS EX: HUMAN REVOLUTION to classics like Fable III, today, fans will have 16 additional games to choose from, expanding our growing library of Xbox One Backward Compatibility titles.
The Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Program is one of the ways Microsoft is hoping to build brand loyalty and keep users on its platform. Other titles include Square Enix’s “Deus Ex: Human Revolution” and “Kane & Lynch 2”, PopCap’s “Peggle” and “Zuma’s Revenge!” and Bandai Namco‘s “MS. PAC-MAN”. This was the one area of the game that did not match the open-ended nature of the game that allowed players to choose a stealth option. One of the latest is a free Xbox One controller offer at Best Buy.
As the Inquisitr previously covered, Xbox One manages backwards compatibility by emulating the entire Xbox 360 operating system. The subscription is typically $60 a year, or $25 for three months, but can be found at a discounted price of $30 to $40 for deal hunters. This is likely in an effort to increase the future sales of the Xbox One while simultaneously moving away from the Xbox 360.
