Xbox One Digital Pre-Orders For Rock Band 4 Now Available

“We can’t wait for gamers to get their hands on Rock Band 4 and look forward to welcoming a new generation of gamers to the Rock Band experience”. Maybe the extra two bonus tracks are compensation for having to pick up an adaptor to play with old instruments on Xbox One.

Harmonix has already stated that legacy instruments would work with Rock Band 4, but up until now, we weren’t sure how.

The reason that this adapter is required is due to the fact that Microsoft has done away with native support for Xbox 360 peripherals on the Xbox One, hence changing the way where wireless controllers hook up to the console. During this exclusive pre-order window, players can enter the coupon code “RB4ADAPTER” at amazon.com for $15 off the adapter purchase. The adapter now only helps wireless instruments communicate, meaning those with wired Xbox 360 instruments are still out of luck.

The adapter will launch alongside the game itself on October 6th, 2015.

Right now, however, Amazon has the Legacy Game Controller Adapter up for preorder for $24.99.

It seems like making a pre-order on Rock Band 4 to Xbox One just might be a good idea.
