Xbox One to get Mouse and Keyboard Support Soon

The company showcased two all-new gaming consoles at the event.

It can be recalled that during the E3 event, the public was caught by surprise with Microsoft’s announcement of a new powerful gaming platform called the Xbox Scorpio.

PS4 has dominated the console market, and was seen as an unofficial champion at E3 due in large part to playing to the audience by spotlighting big, handsome games. A cynic would say it’s calculated to bleed gamers of their money, but the other side of the coin appears to offer gamers two choices depending on their needs.

Out October 11, the game is one of the first “Xbox Play Anywhere”-branded titles, which means you buy it once but you can play it on Xbox One and Windows 10 PC, with shared progress, game saves, and achievements”.

Project Scorpio will have massive 8-core CPU supplemented with a graphics card of 6 trillion floating point operations per second of power.

With the advent of the Xbox One S coming just three years after its predecessor, Microsoft’s “Project Scorpio” coming a year after that, and the mysterious but definitely forthcoming PlayStation Neo, it seems times are a changin’ – and may be cutting the old cycle in half. Other details are yet to be announced. It will be of course a new era of gaming without getting locked to one machine in one room.

However, anyone who has been following the trends of 4K benchmarking knows that the specs for the PlayStation Neo and Xbox Scorpio just don’t come close enough to run AAA games on max settings at 4K.

The 4K Ultra HD video format has been talked about for years now.

The final consideration, aside from gaming content, is which VR system takes your fancy. While Sony announced a number of VR compatible games at their E3 press conference, Batman Arkham VR takes the cake in terms of offerings. Console brands Xbox and PlayStation are finding ways to keep their players on board by offering something for everyone.

Picking his thoughts about the two hardware manufacturers, cam_manutd said, “Sony was certainly the most enjoyable of all conferences and, as a PS4 gamer, an utter delight”. This is because the current generation of PS4 is already handling VR easily, even without any alterations of hardware. Fans have been asking for a new game in the series for a while, and although Sony isn’t making any new games in the series, they are doing an HD remaster of the trilogy, which is sure to please loads of fans.

Aside from its physical merits, the Xbox One S is also equipped with High Dynamic Range capabilities and 4K video capacity. Sony got an early lead in the latest console wars, and Microsoft needed something fresh to help make up ground.

This is only marginally more expensive than the standard Xbox One, although the existing console does tend to be bundled with a free game.

Oculus did announce several new games for the Touch controllers, though, and we very much enjoyed using them in Star Trek: Bridge Crew and Wilson’s Heart.
