Microsoft has already announced discounts on some games including Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, Assassin’s Creed III, Diablo III, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Far Cry 4, Goat Simulator, Injustice: Gods Among Us, Mortal Kombat X, The Orange Box, Ori and the Blind Forest, Slender: The Arrival, Titanfall, and Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.

Furthermore, IGN also revealed a bit more about the backwards compatibility feature stating that it also allows Xbox One users to play online with Xbox 360 gamers, however, that would only be possible if both users are playing the same video game at each end.

It will be important for Microsoft to keep supporting this feature, as Xbox fans’ expectations are now sky high looking forward to the title that will be included in the compatible games list. They won’t be able to work.

Developers who want their game supported by the feature don’t need to do much, they approve its use and then Microsoft puts it through a testing period before making it available. You can play games on your PC, streamed directly from your Xbox One console to your Windows 10 tablets or PCs, within your home.

This is the issue with introducing backward compatibility this late in the game. While the Backward Compatibility will be officially available in the next few months.

The New Xbox One Experience Hyrb referred to in his statement is planned for a launch this fall.
