Xenoblade Chronicles X Special Edition Comes To North America
The original release of Xenoblade Chronicles on the Wii came with a CD soundtrack in some territories, as did the Japanese version of the recent New 3DS re-release.
“The Xenoblade Chronicles X Special Edition includes the game itself, an 11 x 7.75” art book with over 100 pages of game concept art, a matted art card, and a thematically-appropriate thumb drive pre-loaded with 10 music files from the Xenoblade Chronicles X soundtrack.
“Xenoblade Chronicles X”, an exploratory-themed open-world video game, is set in the year 2054 and focuses on the ongoing war between two alien races who battle it out near Earth.
Nintendo has already warned they will be issuing limited copies of the game’s Special Edition, and advised users to preorder the latest addition as soon as the link becomes active. It will be a North American exclusive. Players will also receive a USB flash drive that has been modeled after the Lifehold Units found in the game, giving it that distinctly “Xenoblade” look, and it also contains the game’s official soundtrack.
As for what exactly players can expect to be included in that Special Edition package, they will, of course, be getting the actual game itself, but that obviously is not all. Its inclusion in the Special Edition makes this a must-have for both fans and collectors.
Xenoblade Chronicles X is not a sequel to Xenoblade Chronicles on the Wii.
