Xiaomi just announced an upgraded operating system MIUI7
The Pro version of the Note 2 will apparently sport a metal chassis this time around and there will be two variants as well.
The purported Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro just leaked online with a sleek design, sporting a fingerprint scanner and a premium full-metal body.
Less than a week after there were reports that Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi is considering entering the USA smartphone market, a handset from the company has been certified by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The device maker has made a name for itself by launching smartphones, tablets and wearables with good specs and affordable price tags, offering quality on a budget. Xiaomi has given a list of devices which will be eligible for upgrade. The Redmi Note 2 Pro will also have an additional fingerprint sensor at the back, like many premium smartphones available. Xiaomi announced that the Redmi Note 2 will not be sold in India and will remain limited to China, but we’re hoping that won’t be the case with this new handset. It will be powered by a 3,060 mAh capacity Lithium-Polymer battery that claims to offer a talk time of up to eleven hours and thirty minutes on 3G.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro will be capable of LTE, HSPA, GSM, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi and microUSB connectivity.
It will come with 32GB of storage inside, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 128GB). But if the rumors are to be believed, then Redmi Note 2 Pro will be inlcuded in the roster of metal-clad phones with fingerprint scanner like Meizu and Huawei.
Xiaomi is first and foremost a smartphone manufacturer, but this company likes to be considered much more than that. With a metal-clad body and a fingerprint scanner, a slightly pricier Redmi Note 2 Pro should be a hit as well.
