Xiaomi launches Redmi Note Prime for Rs 8499
“The power efficient Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor coupled with the battery saving features of MIUI, has enabled us to achieve our most impressive battery performance yet”, Xiaomi notes, adding that the Redmi Note Prime should last for 14 hours of internet browsing, 38 hours of talk time, 60 hours of music playback and 775 hours on standby. Sale for this phone will start at 10 am on December 15.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note Prime is claimed to be the company’s second “Made in India” smartphone following the Redmi 2 Prime. Much like the Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime, the Redmi Note Prime will be manufactured in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, in partnership with Foxconn.
As we told earlier, Xiaomi has announced its Redmi Note Prime for the Indian market.
The Redmi Note Prime sports a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash, and 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Called Redmi Note Prime, it targets consumers on a budget, featuring a price tag of just $127. It has 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage that’s expandable via microSD to 32GB. The phablet measures 154 x 78.7 x 9.4mm and weighs in at 185 grams.
Other specs include a 13MP primary camera, a 5MP selfie shooter on the front, a 3100mAh battery, 4G support, as well as dual-SIM capabilities.
Moving on to the connectivity options, Xiaomi Redmi Note Prime comes with Bluetooth v4, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPRS, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, Micro-USB 2.0 as well as USB-OTG.
